I'm having a brainfart. What's the front of the Lyric Theatre at Star City like (as in, height of stage from seats and stuff)? We've suddenly remembered we'd like to see The Producers, but when I look for tickets online at Ticketek, I'm getting AA and BB, the front rows of the stalls (when there are tickets available - I think we've left this a bit late *g*). Obscured view or otherwise generally annoying seats, you think?

And I keep meaning to mention this, and forgetting to: the Goodies are performing in Sydney and Newcastle in November. I saw them in March, they were fucking brilliant.

This post about SGA is a really good summing up of so many different aspects of fanon, characterisation, and just the show in general (spoilers through to 2x07). And I'm not just saying that cause I agree with so many of her points (not everything, but a lot, and she makes her points quite well). It's a fun read too, with recs as well.

I'm really feeling the Jim and Blair love at the moment. I re-read Detour by Em Brunson yesterday and today, and have started re-reading The Dragon by Aristide. Next thing you know I'll be digging out the tapes. They'll always be one of my forever OTPs.

If the Lyric's where I saw Rocky Horror about six or seven years ago, down the front is not a great place to be. We ended up off to one side, and saw the whole show side-on, which bloody sucked. Some of Tim Ferguson's outfits were so outrageous that when he was side on (ie facing the auditorium) we couldn't see his face at all.

Thanks for the link to the SGA post. I've plowed through a great deal of fics this past few days, and I had some questions about fanon/canon since the (measly two) eps I've seen didn't actually play out all that much as I expected from fic (weird, considering one of the eps is Trinity).

I have a couple from season 2 thanks to isilya. I don't know really, I can't quite get into the show itself; I watched an ep and didn't really like it, read some fic and really liked that, so went back and watched another ep...and still, eh. And yet, the fic is good! Half my flist seems to have decamped to SGA too, heh.

omg yes! I really really can't wait. The reviews are really positive so far - watched At the Movies yesterday and Margaret Pomeranz was gushing about how she loved it - which doesn't necessarily mean anything, but still.

They're eps 10 and 11. The Defiant One, ep 12, is also worth watching as well. Those three eps are what finally caught me after a lot of resistance.

I'm trying so hard not to get too excited, but they're making it damn hard. Jake Gyllenhaal was adorable on At the Movies.

Man, I'm loving this refound Sentinel love on my friends list. I also may be tempted to bring out the tapes of doom to watch them be domestic and in love blow up shit up.

I wish TS was out on dvd, I'd buy them in an instant, a lot of my tapes aren't the greatest quality.

I hear you, my tapes are awful quality and out of order. I think I'm also missing the most of the final season, I think. Come to think of it, I'm not sure where my tapes are....

I think I now have some better ones a friend gave me, but my original tapes of some of S3 were converted from NTSC to PAL. Jim looks like he has two different coloured eyes in some scenes.

And you need S4 if only for the ghost ep, one of my favourites from the whole show *g*.
