The most important thing I've learnt reading Harry/Draco lately: the word tummy should never ever EVER be used in a sex scene. Let alone repeatedly during a story. shudders
The most important thing I learnt from this week's episode of SGA: they've really given up on their pseduo-science being plausible, haven't they? A retro-virus that'll turn Wraith into humans (cause they're a cross between humans and bugs)? Give me a fucking break. There was some cute team interaction, but the plot-holes, they make my head hurt (like why did Beckett even bring the unfinishedretrovirus of doom with him?). My sister recognised the actress as being Kaylee from Firefly before I got beyond thinking 'that voice is familiar' (though funnily enough, Sheppard saying "Howdy, folks" had made me think 'how very Mal'). Also, Weir only gets one scene *and* her hair looks like crap? Did Torri piss someone off? So basically, I rate this episode as kinda blah. An entire episode of Sheppard hitting McKay on the head, McKay being rude to children, and Teyla teaching Ronon how to not obey Sheppard (cause he's an idiot who doesn't trust anyone else to do anything, he has to do it himself, preferably by himself) would have been far more entertaining.
I've finally finished season 5 of Queer as Folk. Many many thanks to fandom in general that, despite spoilers being around for ages before it aired, and it being a while since the finale aired, that I was essentially completely unspoiled for this season and the finale. Given that its hard to avoid spoilers for SGA in the less than 24 hours between it airing and getting to watch it, this is quite something *g*.
There was the most cracktastically fabulous chat in #primenotprime today, which I only left (reluctantly) as I had to do some jobs and study. Included the birth of the best SGA AU ever (someone must write Puddlejumper fic!), the successful pimpage of Backstreet's video for Just Want You To Know to several people, including boyband haters and an former fan), and crack fic of the highest grade being written. I love fandom.
Despite my good intentions, and getting some other work done this weekend, I have still not started my 1000 word assigment for Economics, due in 9 days. Fuck.
Also, I just saw a comment on LD about the number of "I love Nsync" and "Where's Justin?" messages texted to the big screen at the BSB concert in Vegas. Which of y'all was doing it? *g*

Date: 2005-08-28 10:08 am (UTC)You sick fuck ;p
The really weird part is, that while it wasn't that great a story, it wasn't that bad either. Makes me wonder if the author's first language wasn't English, given it was such an inappropriate word choice...
