Me doing dull work while listening to my Zen leads to strange strange thoughts.

Like how my Zen is obsessed with certain songs. No, seriously, do other people find that their random/shuffle/whatever function on their mp3 player isn't really random? I've got over 1600 songs loaded on the Zen, but everytime I do random it brings up some of the same things. These include: BSB bootleg from Cleveland, "Qui-Gon's Noble End" from the Phantom Menace soundtrack (my player has a crush on Liam Neeson's ass? Okay), the Evita soundtrack, Plow King (from the Simpsons soundtrack), Push (Matchbox Twenty), Holst's Planet Suite and "The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun". Meanwhile, when I poke around, I keep finding songs that I didn't even know were on here cause they never come up. Hmmm.

Also, the other side-effect is starting to plan songvids for every song that I can. A Sheppard vid to Rockstar Baby by Nick Carter would so work! A multi-fandom celebration to the MST3K song Pants! An SGA vid to The Sunscreen Marketing Board by Three Dead Trolls! Darn, there were others as well, but I can't remember them.

When I first got my zen, it kept on playing Space Cowboy. And all the songs co-written or written by the Chasez. Even now when I'm feeling down it'll sudden change to Space Cowboy, which always gets me giggling.

Which probably explains why I've named it Jayce. :)

I wanna make a JC songvid to the Steve Miller Band "Space Cowboy". That was one of my work-inspired thoughts last week (as I have it on my Zen).

Some call me the gangster of love...

Yeah, iTunes does that too. I don't know why. It will play some of the same songs over and over again...(OK, not over and over again, but within a shorter time span than I would like), even though I have a bazillion songs on my playlist. I really should never hear a repeat for days, but I do. LOL. It is very weird.

Yay for really long sentences! :P

Yay! Long sentences rock! Almost as much as sentence fragments!

My Zen plays a lot of System of a Down. I think it thinks I need more bouncy energy music in my life. It's right. I love my Zen. *g*

Makes me think of the jokes about "my tivo thinks I'm gay" cause tivo's will record things on the basis that you might be interested in them *g*. Though I can't figure out what my Zen thinks based on it's preferences...

Hmmpf! For that, I'm not telling you about the Due South one to "Forgive Us, We're Canadian" I planned out.

When I was going through the lead up terrible weeks to finals period last year, during my toughest term, my computer kept shuffling to "Stress." This song has the chorus, "Stress is the way that I get things done/if I'm not under pressure then, I sleep too long" etc. etc. It was sort of nerve-wracking and yet reassuring in an "I haven't gotten more than five hours of sleep a night for the last three weeks" sort of way.

I dunno, but as long as they don't start speaking to me in a mellow, light voice, saying things like, "I'm afraid I can't do that" and then trying to kill me, I figure I'll be okay.
