Howie thought he would discover that he had missed the energy of the crowd or the electricity of singing with the four other guys the most. Maybe even the dancing and finding subtle ways to work the crowd and slyly stealing Nick or AJ’s thunder. These were the memories that had flashed through his mind after the end and made his heart ache when he wondered if the end was final. He had forgotten all about thrumming with arousal from performing and coming with visions of Kevin cocking his head and Brian sliding by him on stage and Nick slinging his arm around him and slices of AJ’s skin filling his mind. Jerking off wasn’t the same without the concert high.
