Photos and Boys

Oh baby, I rule. A couple of nights ago, we discovered that my sister had deleted some photos off her camera without saving them first. A couple of things were lost, most notably some photos of the family at Christmas lunch. She was really annoyed with herself and very down about this (she hasn't had the camera long, it was an important lesson for us all). I googled away, looking for undelete programs I knew had to exist *g*. And preferably freeware. I found a couple and tried them, but to no avail as the camera doesn't show up as a logical drive. So a small investment in a 7 in 1 card reader later, ran the program and photos retrieved. I had wondered why you'd want a seperate reader when you can just hook the camera up to the computer, now I know! And now that we've gotten them back, we got around to mentioning the near-miss to the parents ;) And yeah, it's not exactly the pinnacle of supertechwizardry, but it worked.

There's a new journal entry on the Boys' official site. The album is finally done! No news on release dates or anything though. And the BSB Behind the Music ep is listed for Jan 22nd in TV Guide and other places, so who the hell knows whats going on with that, maybe it will be on then, maybe it won't. I'm sure we'll get it eventually.

Ficlets are coming, I swear. But stupid stuff kept me away from the computer yesterday, and even stupider stuff today (unexpected work, which is good for the bank balance but no fun when the weather is finally getting good!)

Bev says Chris is doing stuff, yay! And yeah, that's mostly an excuse to mention Chris, and then to use the new icon, cause then I'll have used the 5 Gone ones in a row! Me, compulsive? Never...
