Starting with ones made by someone other thanhnix or me.
Another relative oldie.sinbrat made us all a bunch of "My fandom has..." icons, this is the one I've kept the most, because Chris! Busta! My fandom does have puppies :)
Sin also made this I think. It's pretty pretty smiley Kevin. And my icon memory sucks, I was wondering how I managed not to have any Sin icons in rotation, as I've had a bunch from her. Turns out I was attributing hers tohnix, sorry!
This one only went out while I amused myself with a Howie/Britney icon *g*. I thought Hannah made this for me, but it was also Sin *g*. Anyway, I love temptrick, and Chris/Howie, and because theirloveissoshort. This icon helped inspire a threesome ficlet byturps33 :) I use it for crossovery occasions.
Made bysherrold_ish. It's not really true, as while I don't really have an OT3, I certainly do like the threeman bus. But it's just a great fun icon, I've had it for ages, but have never been able to bring myself to rotate it out. And I really like the sentiment, that even if it ain't your OTP or particular thing (and in pop fandom, there are so many options), you can enjoy it anyway :)

Made byfuskeez. Heh, actually, there was a freaking comedy of errors to get this icon. She had a big bunch up on offer, and someone else and I claimed one simultaneously. Candy saw the other person's reply first, so I asked for another, got beaten to it, and then again. I think this was about my fourth or fifth choice, but it didn't matter, as they were all great. I love the texture and colour on it.
On tohnix. She is my Icon Making Queen. She's made the vast majority of my icons, from my very first lj icons through to now. Sometimes they've been on request, sometimes made for me, and sometimes from big lots she's shared.
This is the third oldest icon of mine still in rotation, and the oldest that hasn't been remade. I asked for some Dilbert related icons, and this was one of the ones she made. It's been in rotation in a lot of the time since, particularly as the number of icon slots has grown. I think the usage is self-explanatory.
Another of the oldest (appropriately), this is the second incarnation of the icon. The froik! is from a conversation where I described someone's head being cut off with that noise (though debate rages on whether I said froik or froink). I use it for HL, PW or surprising things.
This was my default for a long time. Haven't been using it a lot lately, but can't bring myself to rotate it out. It combines two of my favourite things, the "Restless" ep of Buffy, and Nsync lyrics that made us laugh (and try and figure out if we were hearing them right) when we were first getting into the fandom.
They are Chris's words, not mine. I think I might have asked for this icon? Or at least said "We need that on an icon" when we watched footage, but it was genius to pair it with that picture *g*.
I asked for BSB group icons, she gave me a choice of about 6. The lower one is the second version of it, she remade it a few months ago (the colour annoyed her or something *g*).
Professionals! I love this show, in all its bad pants-ness. Bodie and Doyle 4 eva! Look at the smirk on Bodie's face. I have a number of Pros icons from her, this is the only one in at the moment though.
More of a newcomer. Howie and Kevin, their love may be so mismatched in height, but they do show up at a lot of events together *g*. Ok, Kristin's normally there too...maybe it's the world's oddest threesome? Ok, now that I've scarred you all for life...
It's Pink! And she's all grrrrr! So I use her when I'm feeling grrrrr!
Another oldie that's had a facelift. And it's all Futurama's fault. There's an episode where Fry was trying to decide on a Christmas present for Leela, and he had enough money for 1 parrot or 100 lizards ("Girls like swarms of lizards, right?"). Later, she rescues him from evil Santa, and he gazes up at her and says something like "I'm gonna get you so many lizards", and she doesn't even blink. We were watching the pilot of SV, not for the first time but early on, and I realised Lex had the exact same expression as Fry, quote Futurama, and eventually...an icon was born :)
It took a while for me to get into US QaF, cause I love the original, but I eventually did, and I love Brian/Justin. I love the light and colours and glowing in this.
I think I asked for more BSB pairing icons, and this was one of the ones she made. It's Brian and Nick, and they love each other soooo much. Their expressions, the gazing into each others eyes, it's just wonderful.
"Bam! Trickyfish" is a phrase thateponymous meelie coined (I stand corrected *g*), and it has grown to have many uses. Trickyfish is the pairing that got me into popslash, and a while back I asked for bam! trickyfish icon, and as always, hnix made something great :)

I was feeling the lack of Sentinel or Due South icons. She took pity on me, and made me these gorgeous ones, and another TS one that isn't in at the moment. Two of my favourite pairings.
Rotated this back in a while ago. A pretty icon from a pretty video. Caption is because of commentary from various people while watching SOMH, when Nick looks under the table at the canoodling actors and is so amused by them.
Oh, the pain of getting into popslash, even more than the shame, is learning the damn pairing names! But it leads to amusing conversations about alternate pairing names, and then you get given lovely icons like these (rotated back in recently for my pairing picspam posts and pairing icon tag withnonchop).
For Lost related posts, or whenever an incredibly hothothot man is appropriate :)
For Veronica Mars related posts, and because she's one of my favourite new tv characters, and because his name is WEEVIL!!! weevilweevilweevil!
I think only Australians might get this one, from the 90s sketch comedy show "The Late Show". He's supposed to be Imran Khan, and all he'll talk about (though he doesn't want to talk about his personal life) is making love to women like a tiger :) For silly or fun stuff.

Made a bunch of icons for AJ and Howie's months last year as giveaways, kept these. And yeah, I do seem to like to make things blue, though I love how it works on both of them (especially the background on the AJ one). Never been so keen on the content of the text on Howie, but spent a while and that was the best I could come up with. And he isn't always sweet.
I wanted a group Nsync icon. This was the best I could come up with. Making a new, better group icon is on my list of things to get around to doing sometime maybe.

I rediscovered this picture in my trickc folder when I was making a birthday message forjchalo last year. It's such an intimate shot, and I ended up making an icon of it too. The slight smile on Chris's face just kills me.
Leftovers from my Howie icon offerings, I think. Half the people I know have the top one iconned, but there can never be too many Howie/Christian icons *g*. It's just such a wonderful mystery, those photos. At the time, all the "true love in a shack!" stuff was running hot around fandom, so I cribbed it (I do love Sirius/Remus too). I'm proud of the font on both, it was one of the first time I really played around with font effects. I love the lower picture, from when all the Boys were in KIIS last year. Not only was Nick draped around Howie, but JoJo made a comment about "Nick's kissing on Howie for some reason". And of course, in my head, Nick's song "I Got You" is about Howie, hence the caption.

I decided I needed a new Chris icon for the big post of Chris footage I did for his birthday last year, and it's been my default since then til...earlier today, actually. But I refrained from making it blue (I know I almost did *g*).
This is actually v 2.0 of this icon, I made the border green (like his eyes *g*), and changed the font to a slightly-more-handwriting-looking one. And improved the contrast and skin tone and stuff. Originally, I was going to have him holding a picture of Chris, but I'm not that skilled with Photoshop :)
Made this just the other day, I felt the need for a new Brian icon. The original photo isn't that good a quality, but I played around with the lighting a bit, and really, Brian as a stripper. Who could refrain?
ramblinround coined the "My First Nick" thing with a bunch of Nick Lea icons a while ago, but I was too slow to get one. hammerhead22 posted this picture yesterday, and I just had to make myself an icon :)
kirsch posted a heap of lovely Gone caps the other day, and I had time on my hands :) The video is so beautiful that they didn't need a lot doing to them. The Justin and Lance captions came to me quickly, Chris not so much (and I'm still not enamoured by it), and the JC and Joey ones might get captions yet. I've actually since remade Justin, because I realised that the last s in shoes was getting cut off by the border. I needed an infusion of new individual icons, and it's nice to have a matching set. I like the font on Lance's, even though I know it doesn't seem as clear as it could be, matches how I imagine his tone. Justin is my new default as of today, first time ever for a Justin icon ;)
And if you made it this far, you can request a ficlet based on an icon. I must be mad, I almost never write anything *g*. First 5 people to request.
And AJ went bowling for his birthday, and Kevin was there :)
