welcome to hell
Sep. 23rd, 2009 06:52 amokay, that's more than a touch melodramatic (and I'm not even referring to my exam next week, fuckfuckfuck).
Woke up about a quarter of an hour ago, and as I'm lying there pondering why you can't program yourself to sleep between set times, I notice that the light outside isn't...normal.
It's orange. I rush to the window and all I can see is a hazy orange glow. WTF? Are we having a bushfire and no one told me.
No. The dust storm has hit Sydney. This is outside our front door. Apparently if I'd woken up half an hour earlier, it was blood red.

(the speckles are the flash bouncing off dust I think)
My car! Our freshly (still in progress) painted house! Everything is going to be coated in dust.
Dear NZ,
This is moving from the west. Please to be enjoying our topsoil if it reaches you.
Love,
A filthy Sydney
( bonus picture of possum and baby that I took the other week (Kiwis: try to resist urge to kill) )
