Tourist suggestions for Sydney needed
Dec. 20th, 2005 01:51 pmIn less than five weeks, I'm going to have a special Canadian visitor (yay!), and I'd love help with figuring out what we should do while she's here. She'll have about a week or so in Sydney, and I've started making a list of suggestions.
Beaches
Taronga Zoo (take ferry)
Opera House/Harbour Bridge/Botanical Gardens/The Rocks/city
Art Gallery (Pissaro exhibition)
Sydney Aquarium (and Darling Harbour)
day trip through Blue Mountains
Luna Park
Outdoor cinema
Pittwater
I'm looking for more suggestions, from locals or people who've visited Sydney (or want to) on where we should go and what we should do. Also, good inexpensive places to eat (no seafood places though) and fun places to shop.
Oooh, and best things to do on Australia Day (I've been looking at dinner cruises to watch the fireworks - $95 per person is far more reasonable than I expected but still a bit pricey)?
Of course, the more the merrier, so anyone free then is invited to join in the perambulations around Sydney!
Learn me, o friendslist!
