She was an incredibly influential writer, especially as one of the first major female writers of fantasy. She was the first woman to receive the Grand Master of Fantasy Award.
If I was at home, I'd be re-reading one of the Gryphon books tonight I suspect.
I'm feeling irrationally guilty about this, since dad and I had a conversation earliar in the week, and I I couldn't recall if she was still alive at first, but dad was fairly sure she was, and after thinking about it, I agreed he was right. And then I see a mention of this on friendsfriends.
