story challenge concepts
Mar. 11th, 2005 11:45 amGiven the popularity of the various remix challenges, maybe we could have a mash-up challenge (crossover stories! I'm so in the mood for some wacky multi-fandom crossovers) or a cover version challenge. Which could be either a crossover where it's characters from one fandom in the setting of another fannish universe, or, rewriting a story from one fandom to be about characters from a different fandom. Wow, I just seemed to have invented a new excuse for plagiarism - "I wasn't stealing their story, I was writing a cover version". Maybe we'll file that under "ideas I had while I was trying to get to sleep that I should have forgotten overnight".
I love stories where characters get outed or come out. A lot. Not just popfandom, though I love it there too. And I can't get this out of my head - Lance comes out/gets outed, and Chris's only public comment about it is "that anyone who was surprised by Lance Bass being gay just wasn't paying attention". I really should write one of the many plot bunnies involving outing that I regularly contemplate. Hah! Me actually writing something as opposed to just talking about ("oooh, to get revenge on Nick, Paris outs Howie. On live tv at a major event!" type thing).
Comments in this post inpire me to ask - what is your favourite endearingly silly (or stupidly endearing) thing that an object of fannish interest has said or mis-said? Interviews, bloopers, appearances, whatever.
