Various musings
Oct. 27th, 2004 08:44 pmMy current job leaves me a lot of time for idle thoughts. A few...
Does anyone know which Rosie appearance it is that Joey talks about his most embarrassing moment?
I received an invitation to a school friend's wedding yesterday. Don't think I've ever met her fiance, don't think she was even dating anyone last time I saw her (which wasn't *that* long ago).
My computer monitor at work has a toy Hedwig on top of it. The person I'm filling in for is also a big LOTR fan. There are a few sort of fannish people around the office, it's nice :)
If/when BSB tour out here for the new album, they should have Anthony Callea as their opening act (guess that one's more of an idol thought, boom-tish).
I need more work shirts and tops. I want to spend money, but can't find anyplace selling things I want to buy. That is against the laws of god and man. Or should be. Oh well, I can go spend money on a wedding present on Saturday.
I was pondering why more people in popfandom aren't also into the BSB side of things, and was considerng doing a poll, cause I like polls :) But "scared of Kevin's eyebrows" would definitely be an option on that hypothetical poll. Cause I've seen people mention them. But it'd be a boring poll probably, just come down to personal preference, like how some people watched Buffy or Angel and not the other.

weredonut has made me happy. The opening of "Burning Down the House" made me sniffle. Ray V! Calling! Cause he won't be at the station! I might prefer Ray K for the slash, but I loved Due South and Fraser n Ray well before I discovered slash or Ray K :)
I really need to catch up on my email. That's not so much a musing as a statement of fact.

Date: 2004-10-27 11:16 am (UTC)I wish you weren't so far away as well. Do you know any Brisbane fans? I should "introduce" you to some of the people I know up there.

Date: 2004-10-27 11:40 am (UTC)I don't know any Brisbane fans oddly enough. Are they as normal as the Sydney ones? :)

What a difficult question to answer *g*. They're a nice bunch, they've got a mailing list here and a lj community

Date: 2004-10-27 11:19 am (UTC)Personally I don't mind Kevin's eyebrows. The man needs something to tone down his prettiness after all or I'd explode from it ;)

Personally I don't mind Kevin's eyebrows.
I'm mostly used to them now, it's normally only in combination with horrible haircuts from years gone by that I really notice them now. And flinch *g*.

Date: 2004-10-27 11:24 am (UTC)There are people who are scared of Kevin's eyebrows... strange thing ;-). They should be scared of Justin's eyebrows as well ;-).

Date: 2004-10-27 11:42 am (UTC)If hear anything, I'll let you know, but you could always register on our website, which I shall not give to you here, but if you do want it let me know. They also do have some jobs up there on the job board but most they talk directly to applicants. But no pressure :) The last job I was asked about was senior helpdesk 65k, but the consultant in charge of the field often works from home, and sits far away from me, so I don't always get the gossip :)
