Spent a while googling and searching download sites for a different way to extract audio files from dvds, as the old tried-and-true method of graphedit wasn't working in this case (A Night Out dvd). Eventually came across thread on some message board about using DVD2AVI for audio. I have this program, and used to use it for converting dvd to avi files before acquiring the improved version of VirtualDub from
kirsch (thanks again! *g*). But I only used it for video, as apparently there are nearly always synch problems if you do sound too, or something. I was just following the instructions at Nicky's Digital Guide site.
But basically, DVD2AVI makes wav files from vob files, quite quickly, and you can select which track of the dvd to work from! Just what I needed, and I already had it on my computer! *g* And I know this will be of interest to virtually no one, but if I don't put it in here, I might forget how to do it in future :)
Maybe now I'll be able to make the A Night Out mp3s!

Fucking hell! Ah well, good to know, good to know, but good lord, I'm blind *g*.
Got any recommendations for wav editors? I use Creative Wave Studio, came with the sound card. It's ok, apart from when it crashes, but nothing special (as far as I know *g*).
