Good things / bad things

My copy of Schizophrenic, bought from this place (which, despite the name, seems to be located in Hong Kong), has arrived! And it appears (as far as I'm able to tell) to be a proper copy of it.

So now that I succumbed and bought an overseas copy, the Aussie release can show up any day now. Cause it's all about me *g*.

My computer now has double the RAM and a dvd burner. I've burnt one data dvd, which seems to work. Do any of you know if there's a quality difference between DVD+ and DVD-? Which one is more popular/compatible with the most systems? I can burn either, but if I'm gonna make dvds for other people it might be an issue.

However, to see if the RAM was gonna make a difference, I was opening up some big programs. I went to open Photoshop and got a message that my serial number has expired. What? Come back, my lovely illegal copy of PS *sobs*.

Had a bath yesterday, which I don't do often. Lazed in there for a good half hour or more, listening to music and reading bits of the Sunday paper. If I didn't have to start dinner shortly, I think I'd do it again.

There is no quality difference between + and - DVDs, they just couldn't decide which standard to use ;-). In my experience -DVDs are more compatible, but new DVD players are usually able to play both. Also, blank -DVDs are cheaper than the +DVDs (over here at least), but you can burn +DVDs faster.

Pfft, stupid postal system. I still don't have my copy. And with the problems we've been having with our mail I won't know if someone's pinched it or if it just hasn't arrived. Oh well, they still have a few days to go.

If you don't mind buying online, the place I got it from was a very reasonable price ($21.95 + 50c postage).

But as Some Girls is being played on radio (a little bit), maybe there will be an Aussie release soon, who knows?

I wish someone would tell Perth that. Is Some Girls the official single or is it A.D.I.D.A.S, do you know? My sis who is in Brisbane said she heard that song. Aiiieee, I'll be glad if they start selling the album soon anywhere.

I dunno about the official single(s) situation, seems to be conflicting info about that. But Nova 96.9 here in Sydney has played Some Girls a few times appearently (I haven't caught it yet).
