And before I've even posted this, someone has created an lj just to spam me, it seems. This is turning into quite a day.

Did this myself a while back after some idiot took a perfectly harmless post and twisted it beyond recognition. I couldn't be bothered dealing with that kind of crap on a daily basis. And shortly after that I noticed that I'd and several other of my friends had been friended by

anonymous_ljer not sure what that's all about but so far, no nastiness has arisen.

I know a few people were concerned by that journal, but it seems to be an active fannish journal these days, though I still don't get the reasoning behind it.

I'd seriously love to know where these people came from. I'm not active on other forums, and haven't been in ages, I don't have a website, and I'm not likely to have been linked to. I don't get it *g*.

I suspect these folks are very much like the trolls who haunt the regular lists, stirring up trouble, spewing inanities, and generally getting people upset. Similarly, the best we can do is ignore them, point fingers and laugh, or disable anonymous posting. It's obvious that these folks have nothing better to do so they waste everyones time attempting to make people miserable. The best defense is not to let that happen.
