Gacked from everyone - cartoon of me (well, sort of - I tried but even with automated thing like this, I suck at any sort of drawing *g*).

Also thanks to
kirsch, a couple of nifty programs for converting dvds to avis. Just rip the vob files to hard drive with something like SmartRipper, and these will convert to avi in one step, using codec of your choice.
+ VirtualDub (with mpeg-2 capability) + AC3ACM (you need to install this as well for audio) - great program, some good instructions to get started using it are here. This might not always work with commercial dvds (there are other methods outlined at that site if this doesn't work), but should be good with home burnt ones.
+ DVD2DIVXVCD - one step conversion, but without virtual dub's features like cropping, resizing etc.
