More randomness

I have a bunch of new icons from hnix, *smooch*, and this is one of them :) Verve + Terri 4 eva!!!1! If you missed Young Americans, well, it's probably for the best. But Pamie's recaps were a work of sheer genius.

Last night at dinner, we suddenly realised that it was Pancake Tuesday (day before the beginning of Lent, actually Shrove Tuesday?), and that we didn't have pancakes. Side note: make pancake mix this afternoon. Dad announces that he's giving up smoking and drinking. As he's never smoked and never liked alcohol, I added that I was giving up armed robbery. My sister thought about it for a moment and decided that she's giving up abstinence. My mother isn't giving up anything, she was too busy laughing at us.

Forgot to mention this before - when I get a phone call from the mother of a friend who is currently travelling overseas, my mind immediately leaps to "oh my god! something bad has happened!", but no, she just needed some help with using livejournal. Phew.

As I said to hnix, they don't make shows like that anymore.

And while it was bad, at least it was the kind of badness that you could revel in and be amused by. Rather than bland badness that just has me not watching *g*.
