erilyn | Busy couple of days

Boxing Day kicked off with the traditional battling of the crowds at the sales in the city. I got a pair of shoes, on special, from a bin, for the first time in my life! And they aren't black! I'm quite impressed that there are more shows for us wide-footed freaks these days. Then off to ROTK at Macquarie Centre Gold Class (thanks to

ausmac and her friend for organising). It took

althea5000 and I quite a while to find our way into the shopping centre, as every entrance near where we parked was closed :) The movie was great, but I'm torn on what I think of Gold Class. The fully reclinable seats are very nice (especially for a 3 hour plus movie), but having staff coming and going during the movie delivering food to people is quite annoying. Then it was off to a friend's place to catch up while she was briefly back from Vanuatu, where she's working. I was only going to stay a while, but ended up in a game of Trivial Pursuit (our team won, natch *g*).

Yesterday was more sales shopping, and meeting

weredonut and a group effort trying to convert her and

joeyvanne to the Backstreet side of the force. Hey, once we have a new tv, we can do some serious footage watching at my place, promise :) This was punctuated by bouts of floor action figure theatre, that descended into hurt/comfort and death fics on a regular basis. I got in trouble for hitting tinyplasticAJ in the head with grapes, and later

meelie and I re-enacted the final scenes of Return of the Jedi using Brian and AJ. People who run pizza delivery places shouldn't be allowed to take holidays, by the way, we might have starved!

Today, I got far too little sleep, and had to go to my cousin's for lunch. Bonded with my aunt's goddaughter and namesake (whom I've met many times over the years but never really clicked with before) over Simpsons and other trivia. I've had two glasses of wne, and am feeling very out of it (such a lightweight, especially when I'm tired). My sister is watching FOTR upstairs, but I don't know if I could be bothered moving...
