Had dinner last night with [livejournal.com profile] althea5000, [livejournal.com profile] offonmars, [livejournal.com profile] proteinscollide, [livejournal.com profile] littlerhymes, [livejournal.com profile] hnix and [livejournal.com profile] sinbrat, to celebrate [livejournal.com profile] althea5000's birthday. Found a fellow Heyer fan (check out here for torch's sparkly!Heyer musings *g*), and a fellow Young Riders fan (and discovered that Emma from it was played by the actress who played Kay in H:LOTS. Fandoms collide!)

Afterwards, we saw SWAT, which is one of the slashiest movies I've seen in ages! Hondo and Street are MFEO!!!1! *g* And it was a lot of fun, too. Especially the synchronised giggling and snickering from us when no one else in the crowded cinema was. Heh. Don't think I've ever seen Colin Farrell in a movie before, and I quite liked him. Josh Charles was cute, and basically was playing DannyWithAGun. And SWAT also has major H:LOTS connections :)

A-ha! Jeremy Renner (who played Gamble), played Penn in S1 Angel (another vampire sired by Angel). That's where he looks familiar from.

Had a fun Friday night with [livejournal.com profile] iibnf, [livejournal.com profile] lilacdeity and [livejournal.com profile] veronamay at [livejournal.com profile] lilacdeity's new(ish - well, it's the first time I'd been there *g*) place. Many bad Automan puns were born, and Vince (from UK QAF) was seen in a Young Indy movie, so very young and adorable. Oh, SPF guest starred in season 5 of SG, if [livejournal.com profile] lilacdeity and [livejournal.com profile] veronamay were interested - ep 3, Ascension. He's very cute in it. I don't know if I have it on tape though. I do have it on tape, remind me sometime if you want to borrow it :)

Rent Phone Booth - it's brilliant, and he's brilliant in it.

I don't think I've watched a rental movie in the last year, apart from a group viewing of 8 Mile. I just never go to the video store. So my list of movies that I really ought/want to get around to seeing just gets longer and longer :)

Oh, yes. At least you know what you'd be letting yourself in for. *eg*

And I found the Heyer film, the Reluctant Widow (it was on the same night as the AMAs, so, same tape). Remind to bring it next time I'm gonna see you :)

Young Riders! Oh, how I loved that show. I never missed an episode even during the HSC. Seems I have a weird thing for shows with girls dressed as guys and guys falling in love with them and being confused. Other case in point - Young Americans.

What was the native Indian's name again? He was delicious.

Running Buck Cross (thanks, IMDB)! I regularly watched it for the first season or so, but I think I lost track of it later. I suspect 7 played silly buggers with the timeslot :)

I loved Young Riders...mmm Josh Brolin (also the reason my high school bag has I love Josh written all over it. so um, yes. *g*) not only did I watch it I taped just about every ep and until a couple of years ago still had the tapes, but then I realised they looked really shonky on the new video player and got rid of them.

What a shame you had to get rid of them - I wanna rewatch the ep where they all find out she's a girl *g*.
