May. 28th, 2011 06:39 pmHad a nice family day today - yum cha for lunch at East Ocean (very very nice - am intrigued with their ordering system, rather than the traditional trolley approach) and it turns out some family members have the good taste to enjoy water chestnut cake. Then headed over to the casino to see The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at the Lyric Theatre, which was a very nice show of songs from many of his works, including the Phantom sequel. Pity the sound balance/system wasn't as good as the singers, but some excellent performances nonetheless. Though now I have a loop of various songs in my head...
But over the rest of the weekend I have to get the following done:
-some work
-Sinpozium organising (two weeks to go!)
- video editing for Sinpozium
-make a red velvet cake for fundraising morning tea at work, and decorate it like a Canadian flag (simplest way I found to fit the Canada theme)
-attend a christening and family gathering
- watch Dr Who
Oy.
(Though I totally made time to watch the interesting CNN interview with Chris Colfer - priorities, I haz them!)
