erilynCouldn't stop checking the news all day, once we heard about the earthquake in Christchurch. While it was clear from early on that this time, unlike last September, there'd be fatalities, it was still like being punched in the gut when 65 were confirmed dead, and I don't even want to think about how high it might go.
I hope everyone's families and friends are safe, and that we all wake to some hopeful news in the morning.
Self-centred blathering - first time I ever travelled overseas was to the South Island, and I've bored many of you with the story of my flight into Christchurch (seated in the cockpit). It is a beautiful city, and it will be again. Now I've been to NZ 5 (?) times, and count many Kiwis as dear friends, and you know that all the sheep jokes and competitiveness over rugby are just the Aussie way of saying that I love you guys, right? *hugs*
