I not sure how I ended up reading about these books at Amazon in the first place, but I'm glad I did now.

Though in a review for another book by the same guy, I came across a 5 star review, the sum total of which was I have just begun to read this book. I cannot offer a valid opinion at this time.

omg. As soon as you said the R-word, I KNEW that's what would be at the end of that link. Just be glad you haven't actually read the books. There was a time long ago when I and everyone I knew read them avidly.

The Rapture is not a widespread belief in mainstream Australian churches, as far as I'm aware about, so I've never heard of those books before. For which I must admit to being thankful :)
