it took me forever to work out the lyrics to some songs...there's one about peering in through blinds, and another about sitting on the wall - I shall leave it to your imagination as to what I thought those lyrics were saying :)

As to Patrick Stump, Sin and I have have discussed the lyrics he sings and have thought the same line was two entirely different things - neither of which were actually the line in question.

Have you seen Jumping Jack Flash, with Whoopi Goldberg? She's trying to figure out the lyrics to the Rolling Stone song, and ends up lying on the floor in front of the stereo, pleading "speak English, Mick!" I always think of that movie when I'm trying to translate song lyrics.

This is one of the reasons I do enjoy pop music, the lyrics tend to be easier to decipher.

Though I was stumped (no pun intended) by the line "porno paparazzi girls" in Pink's Stupid Girls for a while, and still tend to sing nonsense syllables.

As much as I posted that whole rant about how much work learning all these lyrics is, Saturday was never one I had problems with. Considering the genre, I find Patrick remarkably clear. Of course that does mean that even Nick at his most incomprehensible or Taylor Hanson on a normal day, is generally easier to decipher *g*

Most of Saturday I had right, but that bit I was completely wrong on, though to be fair he's totally throwing in some extra syllables that "two more weeks" wouldn't normally have :)
