Um, fairly incoherent babbling within.

I ♥ Bobby so much. I want to rewatch every episode he's in, right now. Thank god I was wrong about him dying in this episode. HIS FACE when he saw BackFromDead!Sam. And him lecturing Dean!

Yay, Ellen's not dead!

I was disappointed that I noticed Jeffrey Dean Morgan's name in the credits[1], but it was ok, cause I kept guessing wrong how we'd see him. For a bit there, I thought the big evil coming out of hell would be wearing his face, but OMG HE CLIMBED OUT OF HELL and saved his boys and Mary was avenged and now he's at peace.

Probably the most spoilery thing was the previously on, because from then on I was just tapping my foot waiting for Dean to head for the crossroads. But it still ripped my heart out, watching him make the deal. Loved the reuse of "Carry On My Wayward Son".

So, were the producers a bit worried about being renewed? Cause as much as it would have sucked for the show to get axed *now*, it would have been worse if it'd been at the end of S1. I mean, at least the YED is dead now, and while there's lots of big arcs still ongoing, at least no one was HIT BY A TRUCK IN THE LAST THREE SECONDS.

Hmmm, I'm surprised that Dean's not-so-secret (about bringing back Sam) is already out, I thought that and Sam's lie about what the YED told/showed him would both carry over to next season. Tsk tsk Sammy, I'm not quite sure why he lied to Dean about that.

So, Sam = Buffy (did he come back wrong?) and Dean = Willow? Does Bobby = Giles? This analogy is breaking down quickly, hmmm.

[1] I was completely surprised by an Angel appearance on Buffy, because I completely managed to miss the big SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE BY DAVID BOREANZ in the opening credits. Pays to be unobervant sometimes.

And thank you to all SPN fans, that I was able to go into the finale completely unspoiled. And I watched the ANTM finale this evening unspoiled too. Miracles will never cease.

That just gave me a giggle. It's funny 'cause it's true! Or something. Also, I love that though there are so many different kinds of reactions to the episode, everybody loves Bobby. :D

Speaking of reactions, everyone on my friends list was very positive about it, but I took a gander at friendsfriends and at TWoP, and so many people were *so* negative. Wonder if we all watched different episodes?

I don't know! It's kinda weird. Then again, I never read TWoP because it usually just manages to piss me off... I like my FL much better. ;)

For SPN, I'd found TWoP ok (though I'd only skimmed through threads once or twice), then for this ep - bam! they hated it.
