Happy belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] babygotbass! I hope you had a fantastic day :)

I just spent an hour lazing in the pool (it's a hot hot day), listening to music (starting with Meatloaf, cause the awesome SPN challenge, what could be more fitting?), drinking a very nice All Saints 2000 Marsanne. I'm now a wee bit less than sober.

However, this made me realise that my collection of Meatloaf is lacking, as I only have "Very Best" on cd (Bat Out of Hell 1 and 2 are on tape). So if anyone could share the following I would be VERY VERY grateful.

All Revved Up With No Place To Go
Good Girls Go To Heaven (Bad Girls Go Everywhere)
It Just Won't Quit
Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)
Wasted Youth
Everything Louder Than Everything Else
Back Into Hell
Lost Boys And Golden Girls

I have heard nothing from Bat Out of Hell 3. Should I?

Yes, I enjoy Meatloaf. Mock away, I won't care.

Meatloaf is awesome, and anyone who says otherwise is obviously lying.

I've always wanted to do a karaoke duet to "Paradise by the Dashboard Light".

I've always wanted to hear a cover of it with the guy and girl switching parts.

I have seen Meatloaf in concert. More than once. Also I own Jim Steinman's album. Sadly all my copies of the above songs are on CD in the boything's parent's shed. Sorry.

Outing myself too. I like Steinman's OTT music and Meatloaf's voice and delivery. I have no shame for my taste in music.

So I have some of these (most actually, but Welcome to the Neighbourhood is from ITunes so - copy protected). If I put them on sendspace or megaupload or something, would that work. (I haven't tried this before but it looks straighforward). Do you have a preference?

The very first CDs I bought were Bat Out of Hell I and II.

Will you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?

And don't tease me about the pool.

I would upload, but this is a drive by check. I'm not around much for the next few months

I hope this isn't rude to ask; if it is, ignore me. Would you mind terribly sharing whatever you get? I *adore* Meatloaf.

It's not rude at all, I've often benefited from other people requesting things in their journal *g*.

A lot of this summer has been kind of mild and blah, but at the tail end we've been getting some better pool weather :)

I will have to download some and listen, since I can't say I have heard much of his stuff. Or rather, if I have heard it, I didn't know who it was. But after reading some of those lyrics, I will def. have to listen.

And yeah, signed up for the challenge, cause it's about time I try my hands at SPN fiction. Plus, I needed a new challenge. *nods*

I suspect you'd recognise some of his stuff, especially Bat out of Hell, I'll Do Anything For Love, Two out of Three Ain't Bad and You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth. At least here, radio plays/played them a lot.

And it's so cool you've signed up! Should be a fun challenge from the looks of it :)

I'll Do Anything For Love is one I def. knows. used to slow dance to that one back in the day. And I think I'll try and find the albums either cheap or free somewhere. *nods*

And the challenge looks like it'll be a LOT of fun. My prompt is just the right kind of angsty too! he he.

There's a clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdCiZsbrsXQ) on youtube that's of Meatloaf recording a song in the studio with Jennifer Hudson.
