bits and bobs
Jul. 23rd, 2006 10:50 amI'm noticing a lot less comments about SGA on my friendslist compared to how many people would talk about it last season. Less people watching, or just that there's nothing much to talk about? I was rather meh towards the first episode, but while I thought Misbegotten was the more interesting episode, No Man's Land had more fun lines/interaction. I didn't dislike the episodes, but can't see myself rewatching them. Watching Misbegotten with
iibnf yesterday was definitely more fun than the actual episode.
Speaking of
iibnf, she's evil. She suggested I check on my Clark/Lex household in her Sims 2, and I was like "...ok". They're married with like 6 children (3 of them are both their children, 3 are half-alien), and there wasn't anything in particular I wanted to do with them. I wasn't gonna really have a play, when I realised - Clark and Lex are not in love. They are only at crush status? WTF? I spent what felt like hours getting them to flirt/admire/talk/make out/woo hoo, and they were very willing, but still not in love! In Sims 1, you could get Sims to buy each other presents and that helped love along (plus, just so fitting for those two), but I can't seem to do that in this. Eventually, I gave up, they shall have to remain passionately crushing on each other, bah. Also, some of their kids seriously got hit with the ugly stick.
I have conquered my fear of the BSG miniseries (I didn't enjoy the first half when it aired on tv here) and liked it (for the most part), and am now ready to move onto the show itself. My plan is to watch S1 and S2 before S3 starts (...but not by too much, I'm getting the feeling).
boomingvoice asked about the Boys at the Much Music Video Awards last year.

crossmymind has a gorgeous collection of long-haired Kevin photos here, guh.
Another comment from Kaci about AJ (from the same chat/message board posting as the thing about Kevin):
Alex is doing AMAZING work. I always knew he could sing, but I'm completely blown awaay by his writing ability. Not only is he learning guitar, piano and drums, he's constantly in the studio with other writers/producers... He's getting the work done.
They're hoping to promote at the end of this year, and release at the top of next year.
He's been in two studios for his solo record TODAY ALONE. Tonight from 8pm to 2am he's in the studio for Backstreet.
I've never seen him this dedicated.
I'm assuming it's the group album that she's talking about promo and release dates?
