I got inspired. I realised that I never did post many pictures from US/Canada, and since I've been showing off my local animals, I thought I'd show off some things I saw over there.

Around Lake Louise and Jasper, Alberta (the sign behind the first bear is a warning that there's a bear in the area)

In Roger's Pass, British Columbia - ground squirrel?

Overlooking Banff, Alberta - chipmunk

In Prince Rupert, British Columbia - bald eagles

Stanley Park and Aquarium

Zion National Park - deer and fawn, wild turkeys

Heh. In LA, [livejournal.com profile] callsigns, [livejournal.com profile] a_karls and someone-who's-lj-name-I'm-blanking-on-sorry stumbled across the premiere for Herbie Fully Loaded. I was a bit disappointed, I thought I got Matt Dillon and Michael Keaton shots too, but at least I couldn't go home from LA saying I hadn't seen any celebrities *g*.

See, we have interesting mammals in North America. Not as cute as your possums, though that raccoon comes close! My goodness, you managed to see a lot of creatures on your short trip here. I've seen all of those critters (well, I've never seen an elk, but that's because I've never really been where elk live), but it took me my whole life. You took care of it in a matter of weeks.

Eek! That was when Lindsay Lohan was freakishly skinny. I'm so glad she remembered she's hot and put her curves back on.

The Lake Louise/Jasper area is absolutely stunning, isn't it, with those impossibly blue lakes nestled amongst the mountains and the sheer vastness of the surrounding wilderness.

Great shots, dude!

Well, it made us a little nervous walking near Lake Louise cause of the signs, but then we saw like 5 bears that day and the next (from the bus!), so it was worth it *g*.

Thanks! They were taken from inside the bus - definitely the advantage to a tour, more eyes to spot things and the bus driver is very good at stopping on a dime ;)

Thanks, I meant to post them soon after I got back...yeah, that didn't happen *g*.

I think we hollered something at Lindsay about "eat something!" *g*. We also yelled "your daughter's hot" at Jon Voight, but I didn't take a picture of him.

When I go on a trip somewhere, I try to pack as much as possible into the time, but I did consider myself very lucky. We saw 5 bears on that bus trip, my sister didn't see that many in a year spent in Canada.

Thank you :) It is just gorgeous, I don't know how many pictures of glaciers and Lake Maligne and mountains I have.
