Supernatural finale ramblings

I liked it, good episode. Rollercoaster ride.
I probably shouldn't mention this, as all the SPN fans on my friendslist seem to be in shock, but I giggled at the end. Not when the truck hit, that was like a gutpunch, but the panning through the car and mangled bodies afterwards made me snicker. Now that's a cliffhanger!
At one point, Sam was silhoutted against the sky, and I was so distracted by the tufts of hair sticking out at right angles from his head.
Oh Dean. I love him so, even when he makes bad decisions. But even more when he's smrt - "you're proud of me? you're not my real daddy!" And Sam siding with Dean.
Dean's confession about being afraid of what he'd do for his family would have had more power if they hadn't been so heavy-handed with his emoting and opening up in episodes like Shadow. But it still got to me.
I knew Sam wasn't gonna shoot, they couldn't off the Big Bad after only 1 season, but I did wonder for a moment if they were gonna go with "Sam kills their dad but it turns out demon had already fled" option.
Huh, despite all that expositioning, we didn't get much more info about The Demon - it was clear that the connection was children with powers, but we still don't know what the plans are, why it strikes in the manner it does when they're 6 months old or what. JDM was awesome as Possessed!John though.
