US mine tragedy

After it being announced that most of the miners feared dead in the West Virginia mine accident had been found alive, it's turned out that only one is alive (in critical condition) and the other twelve are dead. I can't imagine how much worse this will make things for their families, to have had their hopes raised only to be dashed again.
