Happy 32nd Birthday, Howie! I hope he has a great birthday and that the year ahead is filled with good things for him, both personally and professionally. He's a nice sweet guy who loves his family and friends, who works hard for his charity, and is the biggest freaking dork on the planet ;) He's also a very friendly guy with members of other boybands, which makes my crossovery-loving heart glad, heh.

From the webcast of this October 2003 event. He sings 6 Backstreet songs (mostly ones he wrote). Nice performance.
Howie has been through many looks over the years, and he's definitely improved with age - who doesn't prefer him at 32 than 22? *g* Is it good genes? A portrait in the attic? Signs that he's actually an alien? Sadly, we can but ponder the evidence and theorise. And yeah, this is far from complete (and not really chronological).

The answer is...gradually.
Though, even when the hair was bad, and the whole look rather dorky
There were other things to look at
For a long time he kept the hair contained, slicked and tied back
But then he started playing with the flatiron more (click for larger image)
And looked fucking hot with the extensions in "The Call"
And then chopped it off and went through a bunch of different styles of curls too

Of course, one of my favourite looks for Howie is when he's wearing Nick draped around him (or vice versa). It's a timeless classic.
