Sonia Benezra interview

Great interview, she asks some very interesting questions (like getting them to define themselves apart from as musicians) and some of the answers to regular questions are fascinating (Nick talking about his family, and what he says about the Boys...I couldn't love him more). The mpegs were 241 meg in total, so I've compressed to avi, and chopped out the recap of the Boys history that was done at the start of the program, we all know it and it wasn't in English or subtitled.

And bloody hell, it's taken me for ever to get this up, my ftp program kept spitting the dummy, my site went down, I left it running and came back to find I'd uploaded the wrong files...sheesh. But it's a good interview, worth getting :)

I'm only halfway through, but, man. I've always been appreciative of how open they are to us, but this is taking it to a whole new level.

While they're answering the questions about defining them, it's fascinating to see the looks on their faces (damn AJ for the sunglasses). There's all that inner strength brimming underneath the surface. I see it in all of them, and that's why they've lasted this long. You can see how much more appreciative they are of their place in life, and AJ. Oh AJ. I didn't know it if it was possible, but after his little explanation about how he couldn't feel, I gained a whole new respect for him. Same thing with Nick.

They're more human to us now, I think. They're people, and I know people like them, I can see bits of myself in them, and it feels like they've finally come home.

Course, you can disregard all this since the question she asked about defining themselves not in terms of music made me cry.

I watched those earlier and wow...Nick impresses me more and more every day. I may have teared up a bit when he talked about his family and how the guys have taught him more then his family ever did. *sigh*
