I've fallen in love

With a city - Vancouver. The weather is beautifully sunny, and this morning I've been wandering around Granville Island and taking the ferries across False Creek and walking up along side the beaches. Just gorgeous, and it's also the only place I've been in US/Canada that reminds me of home :) Yesterday we came across from Victoria, I saw Chinatown and Gastown, and went shopping down around the Pacific Centre. The tour is now over. On the whole, it was very good, though the weather was awful for the Inside Passage ferry (though not rough), and we saw virtually nothing. But everything went smoothly, nice group of people, and the tour director and driver were kinda nuts, in a good way.

I'm getting my digital camera card backed up to cd at the moment, and later I'm meeting up with chrismm and hopefully some other lj people. Not sure what we're going to do, but either today or tomorrow I'm going to go to Stanley Park and the aquarium. I'm gonna see some whales on this trip even if it's just the little ones they have there!

I love Vancouver! It's a great city and I love Stanley Park and the aquarium is great.

omg, I'm so jealous. I wrote a Nick fic that was based in/nearby Stanley Park. One of these days I will actually get to go there. *sigh*

Vancuver is a city I've always wanted to visit. In all the pictures I've seen it seems such a nice blend of ordinary and exotic, and it's by the ocean. I love the sea. I hope that I may be able to visit it some day.
