Happy (belated) Birthday [livejournal.com profile] maxi47 and Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] qotfu!

I had a lovely weekend away, visiting [livejournal.com profile] i_naiad. It was a very relaxed time, including much watching of various things (I think 6 eps of Due South season 3 which have hooked her, some Take That (oh lord, the slashiness!) and the world's weirdest Nsync press conference from Mexico). Ned and Leny (aka the Theban Band) had a few local slashers over on the Saturday night, and it was great to catch up with them, [livejournal.com profile] thebitchtrolls, [livejournal.com profile] julad and [livejournal.com profile] lastrega. I got to see (and enjoyed) my first episode of House, the Theban Band's artwork being shown off by Elijah Wood on Graham Norton, and the Peter Wingfield ep of Smallville. That's only the second ep of the current season I've seen, and I'm not feeling the urge to rush off and watch more. It was very lame, and Peter's accent was incredibly bad. But much fun was had mocking it. The oddest thing we watched was a short bizarre but fascinating claymation piece about Achilles and Patrocles. This is so being shown at Sinpozium (we all begged for and got copies *g*).

So yes, a great weekend. Just don't ask about the dead fish flinging incident.

Oooh, [livejournal.com profile] iibnf, I read the first book of His Dark Materials on the way up and back. I really enjoyed it. As soon as exam on Thursday is done with, I'll be starting book 2 :)

And, as promised, here's the rest of the bootleg concert that I posted Don't Want You Back from last week. Not the whole concert, but it's all I've got and I haven't seen anymore on the Hub.

Into the Millenium tour, Milan, 1st July 1999.

Please don't direct link to the files or link to my journal on message boards. Right click and save (or equivalent), don't stream the files, thanks.

I haven't had a chance to watch much of it yet. Some is of the stage, some is filmed from the big screen. DWYB is pornolicious, Kevin has good reflexes to avoid being hit in the head with something thrown from the crowd in Perfect Fan, Brian and Nick have their own special little dance towards the end of Get Down.

First BSB show in NY tomorrow, wheeee! I can't wait for lots of reports, pictures, clips (if we're lucky) *g*. ETA: a long coherently written report on the Force of Nature concert is here.

Is relaxed code for boring? ;) Glad to see you got home safely.

I finished my book shortly before the end of the flight. Good thing I kept skimming through your books rather than reading it at your place at all :)

It was a nice weekend, thanks :) Enjoy the bootleg, from what I've seen it's of quite mixed quality, but there's some good stuff.

Downloading, thank you. Glad you had a good visit and *blinks* Slashy Take That? That would be a first... You know, Robbie is just such a dull boy. ;-)

I would die if we got some interviews for Nsync or BSB like they had Take That doing, just two of them facing each other (close enough that therir legs are almost touching) just talking to each other, and being so cute and silly :)

I'm glad I came across them on the Hub, they're not bad for a bootleg, and it's always nice to have more concert footage :)

From what I've been able to watch, DWYB is probably the most interesting file, but there's good stuff in the others too :)

From what I understand/remember, Take That was very . . . silly. Yeah. I have/had the HUGEST thing for Robbie back in the day.

From the little I've seen, silly and fun are the best ways to describe them *g*.

Though them performing in hotpants was something else entirely!

Do I dare to ask? Personally, I liked Robbie's whole dropped trousers thing and the tiger undies (and yes, I do own a pair) . . .

[livejournal.com profile] i_naiad showed me part of a concert tape of their's a while back, not sure what it was called. At one point, most of them were wearing only a tiny pair of tight shorts, and nothing much else *g*.

LOL! Why is it I am just NOT surprised? At all? Is that a bad thing? ;-)
