still fuming about One Life to Live
Mar. 13th, 2010 11:48 amI hope both Brett Claywell and Scott Evans get nominated for Daytime Emmys (they're both on the pre-nom lists). I hope they fucking win, to rub it in TPTB's faces what they threw away.
So...are Ron Carlivati and Brett Claywell still gonna attend the GLAAD awards in NY this weekend? If OLTL wins best daytime drama (I'm not sure when that will be announced as there are three award ceremonies, and I'm trying to figure this out), does anyone else think this could be a touch...awkward? Or rather, MASSIVELY AWKWARD since the show has just dumped the characters that they would be being recognised for? >:(
Wait, GLAAD only presents 4 award on-stage during the ceremony? WTF? That's worse than the Grammys, what the hell else are they doing with their time. Do they only give out awards when the winner will be there? Looks like Outstanding Daytime Drama isn't being presented on-stage, that'll reduce any awkwardness if they win.
Oh, there's a charity auction - including a studio tour from Brett Claywell and Scott Evans. Well, that's not gonna be a bit difficult or anything, since they're no longer on the show.
Not that I'm the biggest fan of GLAAD or anything, their effectiveness/relevance is pretty questionable, but the situation is kind of train-wrecky interesting.
