Sep. 13th, 2009 01:35 pmMy dad and I managed to be slightly late to my cousin A's wedding yesterday :( It was being held near Nowra, about 3 hours south of here. There was a fatal accident on the Princes Hwy, which cost us about 30-40 minutes, then dad got pulled over for speeding (we missed the change from 110 zone to 80, poor dad) which cost us a bit more time (and will cost him a bunch of money and points). We got there during the ceremony, before the vows or anything, but it was still disappointing. Of course, if they'd started 10-15 minutes after the appointed time, like most weddings, we would have been fine. What kind of bride is on time?
But A and his wife K were both so happy and the location was beautiful and the weather is divine this weekend, and the food and drink great, and the speeches were both hilarious and tear-inducing, so all around an A+ wedding.
And then dad was awesome and drove us home last night, leaving the reception a bit early and missing the post wedding lunch today, so I could get some study done today. Mum and my sister stayed down there for it all.
I am in mourning for one of my MAC lipsticks that broke and I had to chuck out, because there was no way to get it back together and get it home, because it was leaking everywhere.
Happy Birthday
