Just got back from seeing Star Trek at IMAX with
iibnf,
alasen,
meelie, some people from Al's work, my sister and her friend N. First time seeing an actual movie (as opposed to made-for-IMAX documentaries) that I've seen there, and first time I've been in years. That was...interesting, but worth it.
Going in to this, I was fighting against the urge to pre-emptively get loldefensive against this film's existence, fighting against being overly nitpicky or getting hung up on them changing things. I did want to give the film a chance. Given my mixed feelings about it, I hadn't really been paying attention and knew very little by way of spoilers.
( no plot spoilers, just my emotional reaction )
