Atlantis, and BSB downloads
Jul. 23rd, 2005 04:09 pmMy sister couldn't find the dvd with the second half of Atlantis season 1 on it while I was away, despite it not being that hidden, but she's now caught up, and seen Siege 3 as well. She was watching fuck I don't know episode titles um, The Brotherhood, the other day, so I was watching part of it with her. She commented that some scene between McKay and Sheppard in a previous ep was really cute - oooh, I remember, from Before I Sleep. We were talking about how it was only about half way through the season that the show really started to grab us, and I commented that it was about then that I really started to see the slashiness between McKay and Sheppard (well, saw it and started to get really into it). She was like, Sheppard and McKay? Ewwwww.
Sidenote: my sister knows about slash (though not RPS) and has read some, but it picky about which she sees eg Jim and Blair, definitely; Sam and Josh, no. And I never said she had taste, the only fandom she's really read a lot in was Voyager, and that was mostly Janeway/Chakotay. Anyway...
So, she wasn't feeling the McKay/Sheppard love at all. I pointed out McKay's jealousy in Sanctuary, she's like 'eh'. We talk about other pairings, and she agrees that Sheppard/Weir is just wrongwrongwrong (her view: Weir and Rodney would make more sense, and still isn't a good idea), and that there was potential for Sheppard/Teyla, but their relationship has moved away from that as it developed. Other random discussion, then we got to the scene where they have to figure out the order of the discs or else, with the Mensa stuff (deliberately vagued, just in case). Afterwards, she turns to me and admits that now she can see why people would be slashing McKay and Sheppard. Score! *g*
I need an Atlantis icon, though I'm still deeply in love with using all the MST3K icons I got from
hnix. Rodney would so be a MST3K fan. And I wish my Atlantis torrent would run at more than 1.5kb/sec, though that's better than when it stops altogether. And as soon as I get this episode, I'm gonna have to have a close look at Azereus, as soon as I opened it, Symantec blocked a trojan program. Yeah, I should look now, but I'm lazy and want Atlantis, and Symantec seems to be on top of it for now.
Some more unreleased/different versions of BSB songs, thanks to
reggie_mbq and
raynedanser.
+ Divine Intervention - BSB goes religious
+ Set it Off - BSB goes disco
+ Song for the Unloved - more ballad-y version
+ Popworld: Cup My Ballot - 20 meg
Funniest thing I've seen in a long time. UK show, the guys have to guess which one of them was picked as answer to questions like "Which Backstreet Boy most resembles a shi-zu?" And Kevin brings up Nsync, he's all about the crossovers *g*.
Any Nsync file requests? My bandwidth hasn't been used at all this month *g*.
( Other BSB and Nsync downloads I still have available: )
