Happy Canada Day! My backpack is sporting a Canadian flag and 4 flag badges, and I'm wearing another. And I listened to "Forgive Us, We're Canadian" by the Arrogant Worms on my Zen :)

My flight from Vegas to Vancouver was cancelled, and I had to go via Seattle, which was quite pretty from what I could see, and then get a 36 seater to Vancouver. Got in about the same time, so it was ok in the end.

We left Vancouver on Wednesday morning, and the driving through the mountains has been gorgeous. We got here last night, and I went up the Sulfer Mountain gondola this morning. This afternoon is a helicopter flight (yes, another one, I've found a very expensive new hobby *g*). Then there's a parade in the late afternoon and fireworks at 11pm. Though I have to get up at 6am...

Tomorrow is the Icefields Parkway, Lake Louise and rafting at Jasper. The tour this time has a slightly younger mean age, though I'm still one of only a few younger people (and they're here with their parents). I've managed to be the only solo woman who put down to share a room on both trips, so both times I've got a room to myself without paying extra! Plus, the bus isn't full, which is nice, but the tour guide isn't quite as good as Bobbie from the last tour, and she laughs at her own jokes way too much.

Just looked at the SMH website. I see there's flooding in NSW, I just knew we'd go straight from droughts to floods.
