So, who around here is going to Challenge? A stray Aussie may be in need of a room-mate(s) *g*. Plus, I just want to know who's gonna be there - it'll keep me motivated when I stop in the middle of planning, tally up the costs, and say "what the hell am I doing?"

I haven't booked flights or anything yet, but I'm getting quotes and I've found a Cosmos coach tour out of Vancouver that a) fits around my end of term and beginning of Challenge with several days to spare, and b) visits some of the spots I most want to visit in Western Canada - Glacier National Park, Yoho National Park, Colombia Icefield, Jasper, then a train ride to Prince Rupert, and a days boat cruise down the coast to Vancouver Island. Anyone ever travelled with them or know someone who has? I've never done the big tour thing, and I'm sure it'll have downsides (let's not mention the price), but I'm travelling by myself with limited time, seems the best way to cover a lot of ground.

To make a long story short (too late!) me in Chicago for CFTC is becoming a distinct possiblity. Screw missing the first couple of days of term, I'll catch up! Screw the premium prices for airfares and tours because of travelling in peak season!

Like I said, nothing booked yet, but if I'm gonna do this, I'll try and have it all sorted in the next couple of weeks. I'll aim to be in Chicago probably by the Wednesday, to do some sightseeing. I may stay at a hostel or somewhere for a night or two if I'm going to be there before everyone starts arriving.

Eeeeeek! Am I completely insane? Or only a little?

There's also two video clips, one of a new song where the guys look like glowing orbs. Turn off the sound on that one, it's just garbled. The other's of Quit Playing Games and is much better quality. Feel free to share the link to the directory around LJ but please keep it off of the message boards.

> Backstreeters have two more Force of Nature clips up - Shape of My Heart and More than That.

> [livejournal.com profile] crossmymind has the Incomplete single cover here. Mmmm.

These are both interesting and fun recent interviews.

More of their intervew with John Norris. Credit and thanks to suej (though I made it an avi, to save bandwidth).

Please don't direct link to the files, or link to them or my journal on message boards. Right click and save or equivalent. Don't feed the bears, thanks.

Speaking of which, I'm going to upgrade my hosting plan to get a bit more bandwidth. The cost isn't much more and I'm hoping I'm going to need it over the next few months. All this BSB activity, and I'm still going to be posting lots of Nsync stuff too. JuC Day used well over 10 gig I think, most of the files were downloaded over 200 times :)

Oh, and if you know of good stuff I miss, please let me know, I want to see and share everything I can :)

Yo, Aussies (in relevant states) - don't forget it's the end of daylight saving tomorrow morning (I totally would have if the family hadn't mentioned it), clocks go back an hour. Also, Atlantis (the Stargate spinoff) is starting on 7 tomorrow night at 8:30pm.

Waratahs thrashed the Bulls, 42-12. There was some very good play, and some very scrappy play. Poor Lote Tuquiri bombed a certain try, dropping the ball only a metre or two from the line. He's gonna cop heaps for that *g*. We had a couple of light showers of rain, but nothing too bad. Let me just take a moment to risk fate by noting - 5 rounds in, and Waratahs are on top of the Super 12 table. Eeeek! Can't remember the last time we were doing this well (but we also have an incredible ability to fuck up the second half of the season). Next week: the Crusaders, and while we beat them in the trial match in the pre-season, if they are at their best, it'll be fucking hard. But mmmm, Daniel Carter will be playing, so that's bonus enough if I go and we lose ;)

[livejournal.com profile] breny has some HQ BSB pictures here.
