Shakespeare, shopping and Boys stuff
Jan. 29th, 2005 08:55 pmI went to Shakespeare by the Sea last night, at the rotunda at Balmoral Beach. It's a lovely spot, but isn't ideal for theatre (due to the actors competing with the waves, and if it's slightly windy, forget hearing half the dialogue), but they did a pretty good job with Taming of the Shrew (despite my personal aversion to the play, it wasn't until right until the end that I was really annoyed). Petruchio's unsuitable garb that he shows up to the wedding as in this production? Basically the same wedding dress as Kate is wearing *g*. It was a fun romp, as it should be, and I caught up with friends I don't see enough of. The moon rose during the play, and was almost full and a gorgeous yellow colour. Just stunning over the water. Between that outing and some stuff during the afternoon (including getting very wet, despite my umbrella, in bloody heavy rain), I was buggered by the time I got to bed, late.
Crawled out of bed at an unreasonably early hour to get some shopping done, then get to the hairdresser, which took quite a while because they'd basically squeezed me in when they probably shouldn't have. Then some more shopping, then I spent several hours working on the outdoor furniture (it needed a fresh coat of protective varnish paint stuff). My arms, back and legs are now registering a formal protest.
Everyone's probably seen this article by now, but I must mention it anyway. New dates for single and album (March and June)! Quotes from Howie and Johnny Wright! The first single is probably not one of the three new songs they did on last years mini-tour? But they might be doing House of Blues shows starting before the album is out! ::sighs with long distance jealousy::
Also, Nick did a radio interview yesterday.

I haven't listened to it yet, but apparently he said:
- They finished the possible first single 2 days ago (huh?).
- Was asked about Paris, didn't say much.
- He was having a birthday party in South Beach that night.

My sister has rented "Wimbledon". I go watch now (for the third time *g*).
