Such a grey day, why won't it rain?

I've had quite a quiet weekend so far. Slept for almost 11 hours on Friday night, after passing on seeing "Van Helsing" because my cough was still annoying (both to me and to people around me *g*). It's a lot better, but still lingering (as coughs are wont to do with me). Went out shopping yesterday afternoon, prepared to spend money and with a long list of specific clothes and shoes that I want. I came home with a mother's day card (and mum and my sister were equally unsuccessful).

Had dinner with K last night, and watched most of a fun Bollywood film "Lagaan", about an Indian village trying to get a reprieve from taxes by
taking on local British forces at cricket. Sadly, the movie went for almost 4 hours, and I didn't have that kind of lasting power :) The lead Indian actor bore a startling resemblance to Tony Curtis, it was very distracting.

We're having a mother's day lunch here today. I'm sad that I haven't been more social this weekend, though seeing bluecrane during the week for the first time in many months kind of makes up for that :) I'd be up for doing something this afternoon/evening, if anyone else is also at loose ends (and has an idea *g*).

I've got Angel 5x20 downloaded but haven't watched it yet. Only 3 episodes to go, I don't want this show to end :(

retail therapy

Ended up going out, very last minute, to pop over and see if they had a shoe I wanted in the right size at a different store. It was last minute cause I needed to wait a while after having some wine at lunch. Was a futile excursion, as the Myer over there didn't get that one in at all. And while I was sitting waiting for her to fail to find another shoe for me, I realised I was missing the end of some ebay auctions I wanted to bid on, so I missed out on some cd singles. Fuck fuck fuck, I think, as I stomp off, new shoe-less, from the shoe department. This on top of my ongoing bad mood about a problematic ebay transaction (I've filed a complaint with ebay about them).

I was going to check out their promising collection of pjs (the Myer I went to yesterday had crap), but some other clothes caught my eye, and my bad mood was eased by good old fashioned retail therapy. Twenty minutes (cause the store was about to close) later, I was leaving with two pairs of pants and three casual tops (two of which were quite reduced). Sadly, my bad mood has recurred a bit, as I've found a problem with the black cords I bought, hopefully I'll be able to exchange them and it won't be a flaw in the whole line.

God I'm in such a mood to spend money (danger, danger), someone keep me away from ebay. Mmmm, $35 long sleeve BSB tshirt...

Watched Angel 5x20 while I was waiting to sober up. Hmmm.

I'm just spamtastic today

I got bored, so I've made some new files of Backstreet Boys videos from the Chapter 1 dvd. Starting from the beginning...babies!!!1!

Boys on the beach. This is actually quite a pretty video, with some cute dorktastic moments, I'm not sure why I've hardly ever watched it.
+ Get Down (You're The One For Me) - 22 meg
They're dancing on a disco ball. There's a random floating rapper. The facial expressions (particularly Kevin) nearly kill me everytime. This one didn't turn out as clearly as the others, and I can't figure out why, but it's still better than the mpeg I've got.
+ I'll Never Break Your Heart - 27 meg
I've never quite got what the sections where they seem to be bouncers have to do with the parts where they're in highly decorated apartments with girls, but the video sure is colourful and pretty, Howie is wearing a lot of eyeliner, and as for Kevin....
