On dvds and other random assortments.
Dec. 3rd, 2003 09:41 pmHas anyone else found that their dvd-rom drive is more sensitive and contrary than their player? I can't play a couple of dvds on the computer (or parts thereof) due to freezing or other problems, but they play beautifully (albeit in b&w due to our aged tv) on the dvd player. Most irritating when I want to make files off these dvds. I'd offered to make an avi of the fan getting up on the catwalk during PopOd for someone, but can't. But at least the dvds still work.
Sunday was a gorgeous day, so I'd done some washing, including my sheets. That night, I'd been lazy and just lay on the unmade bed reading for a while, clean, piled sheets lying beside me. Eventually, got up to make the bed, and a spider (not big, but large enough to bother me) crawled out from in my nice clean sheets. I required assistance from family in dealing with the intruder, and ended up stomping on my fitted sheet and quilt cover before using them, just in case. Screw the lovely smell of sheets dried in the sun, and open the dryer.
The house stinks of teak oil, and I still have the dining room table and large sideboard to go. While I was doing some today, I had Millenium playing. My sister was in the room, and was clicking her fingers and giving other signs of enjoying "Larger than Life", so I was forced to tell her that it was Backstreet. She gave me an evil look and left the room. Heeee.
veronamay said she didn't realise how evil I am. I am now wondering about her perception of me, mwahahahahahahahaha!
Anyone know non-chemical ways of cleaning silverware? Along with oiling the furniture, and various other tedious jobs (which doesn't include putting up the Christmas tree and decorating, I like that), this time of year means it's time to clean grandma's silverware.
I have now lost 10% of my body weight in 12 weeks! Over 7kg gone :)
