Pirates, anyone?

Thank god for the Tax Office. Before you consider having me committed, consider this: I got my tax refund on Tuesday. Nine days after I lodged it online. Nine days. And it was about what the program estimated it to be. Niiiiiice :)

Pity my work isn't as efficient. Opened my payslip this morning to find...significantly less than I was expecting. Like, a quarter of it. Turns out my boss didn't sign my payment form, so I've only been paid for the hours I did on the project, not the rest of my job. Fifteen hours, rather than seventy. And she isn't in at the moment for me to get her to sign it, so they can get it fixed up this afternoon. ETA: She's arrived and signed it off, but treated it as something funny. Luckily, my cash flow situation isn't desperate, but if it was, I would have been really put out by this situation. Bitch.

So, thank god for the tax office. Now I've just got to get to the bank to put the cheque in. And I want to go shopping and buy a little pair of speakers for my discman (they're my reward to myself for reaching my first goal. Can't think of what the next goal's reward should be.)

Anyway...so, anyone want to see Pirates of the Carribean Friday night or Saturday? I'm probably manual labouring again on Sunday.

Lance is hot, gay and has a really cute puppy dog. I gotta go read that great story that has Jackson in it a lot...Cake? Must also put the Sharon appearance on cd so I can watch it with sound at some point too *g*. It's an interesting way I have at the moment - half the stuff I get lately I watch first on this computer without sound because I'm lazy and want to see it now!

As I said earlier, anyone for movies tomorrow night or Saturday? I've got such a list of movies I haven't seen - Pirates of the Carribean and Finding Nemo are the ones I'd most like to see. Or some other sort of gathering/outing? I know lilacdeity has suggested a picnic or something for next weekend, but family commitments for next weekend are likely, but not determined yet.

And I really need to catch up on some email - apologies to those I haven't replied to, sorry.
