Another concert report

And then the Boys--their set began similiar to the opening of Black and
Blue-only without the special effects. and when the curtain opened-the joy of the
crowd exploded. It was so obvious that the guys fed on the love from the
crowd-they were so happy to be onstage together. The playfulness between Brian/Nick,
Howie/Nick, Kevin/Nick, Aj/-well, let's just say Nick was all over the stage
and the guys and the crowd! I was doused by Nick's water and when Nick threw
his hat into the crowd at the end of AIHTG, I thought someone was going to be
killed going for it! It went right over my head and the crowd collapsed behind
me. The Boys need to STOP doing that--after AJ was sued for throwing a shirt
out and someone got hurt-you would think they'd know better!
They gave a full concert-1 1/2 hours of solid music-no fillers! Their dancing
was incredible-strong, hardhitting, perfect. My favorite songs were Beautiful
Woman, Shout, Climbing the Wall (Nick played guitar for almost the entire
song), and the oldies. I'm soft on Poster Girl only because of the title-it
sounds too young, and I'm concerned it isn't a strong enough song for their first
"comeback" single. The reaction they got from Shout was incredible-even Joey
Fatone was rocking out.
Nick looked fantastic. I considered buying a blonde wig in one of the Disney
stores and throwing it onstage for him-but it wasn't worth getting out of line
to do it. Every now and then, Nick looked really pensive, and I THINK it was
in SMTM that he froze,looked into the crowd and said "I'm sorry". Really
stumped me.
Kevin-let us say I have a new appreciation for that man-he has to be one of
the most beautiful men I have ever seen. He is GORGEOUS and still doing that
turtle dance.
Howie is adorable, just adorable. And still doing the salsa. I loved being
close enough to have eye contact with him!
Someone threw a stuffed yellow ducky to Brian, he was so cute making all his
"Brian faces".
And Aj-you could tell it killed him not to be dancing and going crazy-and I
saw the flashes of pain others have described.

My only complaints? You couldn't hear their voices well enough-whether it was
the acoustics, the loudness of the band, or everyone singing along in a small
venue--you just couldn't hear those gorgeous voices as well as I would have
liked. In every other respect-I LIKE the smaller venue. I was about 10-15 feet
from them. I was close enough to see the hairs on Nick's legs through the hole
in his jeans!I could see every nuance of expressions,and you KNEW they could
see OUR expressions, hear us, FEEL our love and excitement! Never in my
wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would have this kind of concert
experiance!
