Not a bad night's entertainment
Jul. 17th, 2004 11:51 pmFirst the Bledisloe Cup (*sigh* feelings about that hashed out elsewhere), then we watched "Calendar Girls" with Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, Annette Crosby and more great Brit actors than you can shake a stick at, which was lovely and funny and damn good; and then Loony Tunes: Back in Action with Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman, Timothy Dalton, Joan Cusack, and more "hey! it's that guy/girl" actors than you could shake an ACME stick at. Plus, Bugs, Daffy and the whole WB cartoon roster, of course *g*.
Was that all one sentence? I'm way to hyped up on diet lime coke and m&ms. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get to sleep anytime soon. I'm sure I've got a really boring book somewhere...
Anyway, that was a fucking funny movie, and I'm sure there were a heap of gags I missed (the lineup of evil aliens alone was a hoot).
Dude, someone should write a story where Chris comes out by performing "Real Men" (a la the Pansy Division) with Little Red Monsters. Preferably at something big, where he'd jump into the audience and kiss Eminem at the "don't call me a faggot/unless you are a friend" line.
earth shattering KABOOM!!!!
