Withdrawal

erilynMy baby (aka the computer) is in the shop. They replaced a fan the other day, but then last night there was still some strange noises, and then it shut itself off (right off, complete with some crackling in the power cord), and then it was running sloooow and unhappy, so I took it back in. Hopefully they're gonna replace the motherboard and power supply, and we'll see how that helps. Even more hopefully, I'll get it back tomorrow, but nothing's certain. They didn't charge me for the fan, and haven't mentioned costs for the other parts, so I think they're all covered under warranty, which'd be nice (it's almost 18 months old, so I didn't think it would be).
Sadly, I forgot to take my nsync calendar wallpaper off the desktop last night, which I did remember to do before taking it out the other day.
I'll be grabbing as much time online on the laptop as possible, but there may be emails and comments I won't be able to reply to for a bit. And won't be able to upload the second half of the interview until I've got the computer back either.
And mum's laptop had a fit while I was using it before, but popping the battery out for a moment fixed it. Why do computers hate me so at the moment? Do I have the computer touch of death?
ETA: And Hidalgo started today! And despite my inability to say it properly, we should go see it!
