erilynI just watched Angel 5x12 "You're Welcome".
Not what I was expecting. They killed Cordelia. I'm sitting here fighting back tears. It was old-school Cordelia and classic Angel interaction and banter, reminding me why I loved this show so much, and why the last few seasons have ripped my heart out. I knew that Charisma wasn't returning to the show after this, but I wasn't spoiled for her dying, but I guessed early on that she was going to (the foreshadowing was incredibly obvious - deliberately so?)
And what a useless way for Lindsay to go out - will we ever find out what he was trying to do and why? Cause if it was just revenge, a) lame and b) doesn't make sense, given his exit from the show in season 2.
I also thought there was supposed to be another big name guest star for this, the 100th episode (name not included in case they show up shortly). And is it a rule that Mutant Enemy have to kill a major character in 100th episodes?
I've been quite enjoying this season of Angel, despite issues, and have been intrigued to see where it was going. All my interest has evaporated. Maybe I'll go watch the S1 and S2 dvds that I just bought from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Farewell, Cordy. You've been missed since you left (which for me, was the S3 ep where she became half-demon. Ever since then, it's been Not!Cordy), and the show really isn't the same without you.

Date: 2004-02-08 03:04 am (UTC)I don't think it wold be possible to have Cordy as she was in the show at present. She's too good for Angel, stopping him wallowing around in his own despair.
