Guards, Guards
Nov. 28th, 2003 03:03 pmWednesday night at UNSW, I saw a Guards, Guards with
calemiri and
tboy. It was a lot of fun, and while some of the portrayals of the characters (such as Vetinari - lots of fun, but a bit too arch) didn't mesh with my reading of them, I enjoyed it heaps. And "Vimes" was very attractive, with very nice thighs :) Hopefully the same group are gonna do more Pratchett productions in the future. Ran into someone I know (via
calemiri) from uni. We all got to catch up a bit, and might do so again soon, so that was very nice. Had a slight headache from slightly before intermission until I got home after midnight, and still had it when I woke up Thursday (which turned out to be the one day this week I worked, naturally *g*), which was a slight bummer.
Enormous amusement was provided by my sister earliar in the week, when she told me that a friend was going to take her to see a movie for her birthday. What movie, I ask?
- Squat.
- SWAT? I reply, through tears of laughter.
- Yes, Squat.
- No, no, the name of the movie is SWAT, says I.
- Oh yeah, she says, laughing too by this point, that's right.
- Squat, I continue sniggering.
background noise throughout conversation was dad's laughter
We all agreed we don't want to see a movie called Squat. Ever.
