Or is this TWoP recap of the VMAs just seriously not very funny, and rather hypocritical to boot? Rightfully chiding the music industry for the glorification of the whole pimp scene, with it's accompanying denigration of women, while at the same time insulting Christina Aguilera in disgusting and misogynistic terms for her image? Did Christina kill their pets or something? They seem to have such inexplicable hatred towards her.

This isn't me being pissed off as a Christina fan (I don't give a damn about their digs at Nsync). I'm just plain disgusted (and having problems encapsulating why), and have lost a lot of respect for Pamie, one of the recappers. Plus, it's just not a funny recap. They get in about as many good jokes as Chris Rock did while hosting (for those who haven't seen it - not many).

On the plus side, had lunch with meelie today (dude, yeah right it was your evil twin's fault, you just hate me! *sob*), sinbrat and coreopsis continue to entertain with their delicious regency AU, joeyvanne has some fun first time pop footage viewage observations here, and I've only got to be part of the familial slave labour force for Saturday, not Sunday as well.

ETA: I'm scared. I have 1000 unsorted saved pictures to go through. Yikes.

It's not just you - I didn't think the recap was particularly funny either. Sure the VMAs were basically crap, but I thought they were over the top nasty about some things while others just slid by.

Something I've noticed while visiting Fametracker is that often the North Americans have a much lower tolerance for certain celebs. I think that maybe it's a reaction to media saturation that we don't get here.
