Ok, anyone got recs for download tools that aren't adware/spyware?

How about good free screen capture programs?

Well, I was told to try Kazaa Lite - it's supposedly a hacked version of Kazaa with no spyware. *However* it still managed to install stuff on my harddrive that I believe was monitoring me. Either that did or something other program, but I can't think what.

I still use it but I check periodically to see what processes are running in case it tries installing anything else. There are a lot of users - I've had no trouble getting the latest season of Buffy off it, within a couple of days of it airing.

You might want to get hold of something like Ad Aware, which can check your computer for spyware, if you don't already have it. Good program.
