So, I have front row tickets to both the Sydney and Melbourne Backstreet Boys concerts in March.
Um...holy fuck.
This is no thanks to the fanclub - I refused to buy tickets through them, as they were being sold without knowing what your seat allocations would be! I don't fucking think so, buddy (despite having got awesome seats through them in the past), especially after the debacle with their Dublin concert (people who bought front row tickets via the fanclub ended up with far shittier seats due to Ticketmaster reselling the seats). There was no warning that's how the sale would be done - the NZ presale was done via Ticketmaster.
I got the Sydney tickets on Friday - there was a Virgin Mobile presale starting (according to Ticketmaster) at 9am. I'm with Virgin Mobile, couldn't find details of it ANYWHERE. Come 9am, sale goes live, I guess the password on second go (perhaps they should have made it something other than BACKSTREET, and it shouldn't work for me entering BACKSTREET09) and got front row! Virgin Mobile did eventually put the details up on the Member site - but they thought the presale started at 2pm. Major communication breakdown, whoops!
Today, it was the Visa Entertainment presale, and I guess I just had good timing to refresh when my computer clock said 11:59 to find the sale had gone live.
But yes, front row twice! I'm kinda stunned (and really paranoid that's somethings going to go wrong now). And I think I've used up any ticket karma for the next twenty years.
Anyway, gotta get back to preparing to fail my exam tomorrow.

They are so much fun live, I've seen them on two different tours and always had a blast. Not that keen on the new album, but they'll do heaps of the older stuff too.

Everyone on the mailing list and fanclub seem to be trying for front few rows at this stage and/or have already bought tickets, so ebay or asking around might be best bet, sorry!
